Agriculture foresight team under Ministry of Agriculture in Egypt: "Establishing a Foresight and Policy Advisory (AG-FORESIGHT) department, under the Digital Transformation Unit of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation (MoALR), this one-year project trained and developed a policy analysis team to provide rapid response and longer-term strategic and high-quality advice to the Minister and Advisors based on the most advanced desktop and digital data tools. Using IFPRI’s economy-wide model (AIDA)[1] the project focused on assessing post-COVID-19 investments in agriculture and the food system, and an intermediate-level modelling training course was delivered. A comprehensive digital database for agricultural production and trade statistics in Egypt was also developed."
