Lidia Zuin is a journalist, writer, researcher, and strategist. She holds a PhD in Visual Arts and a Master's Degree in Semiotics. She is the co-author of the four-book series Thriving on Disruption and has published papers in academic journals as well as on major news websites.
Lidia uses Design Fiction as a methodology to map futures for both government agencies and companies interested in preparing for the future using creativity and strategy. She has experience with foresight, trends research, and planning for marketing campaigns and strategies.
She currently works as a technical writer and content strategist at Neo4j, a Swedish graph database company. In previous years she has also hosted two TEDx talks and published the science fiction novel REQU13M.
Envisioning embarked on a comprehensive research and development journey with Deftech at Armasuisse S+T, the open-source research branch of the Swiss Department of Defense. The project's core was to investigate the application of numerous emerging technologies within defense. Our role encompassed detailed research around data presentation, the collection of emerging technology data, and the development of interactive storytelling tools. The culmination of this research was presented annually in Thun, Switzerland, to an open source intelligence community. The focus of these projects was to underscore the impact of emerging technologies on various stakeholders. Throughout our collaboration, we delivered multiple Radars and presentations, each highlighting different facets of technological advancement in defense.
