Young indigenous leader from the Ogiek community of the Mau Forest in Kenya. She is also a Trainee Advocate at the Kenya School of Law. Ms. Kobei is also the Chair and Founder of Tirap Youth Trust formally known as Ogiek Youth Council an indigenous youth led and based organization working on environmental conservation and climate justice. She works with indigenous girls (younger generation) and indigenous youth to rehabilitate their ancestral home Mau Forest, and also creating awareness on climate change issues. Cindy is also a 2022 Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador.
