Karen Leu manages projects, programs, and operational systems. Sher is particularly interested in efforts related to: - Responding creatively and experimentally to the crises of our time, particularly extreme wealth inequality, environmental collapse, and sectarianism and polarization i.e., especially on pilot projects and other experimental efforts. - Bridge-building and multi-stakeholder engagement - Consciousness change -- decolonizing and expanding our mindsets and worldviews to generate new possibilities - Leadership development and radical philanthropy -- supporting people in the cracks and margins to plant seeds - Fostering creativity, play, and imagination in social change work - Nurturing young children with love and silliness Karen Leu has: - Over 14 years of experience in program/project and operations management, database and data analysis work, and event/conference planning (in-person and online) in organizations - A love for designing and implementing efficient and easy-to-use systems to make social change work go better - An ability to keep track of the details while still keeping the bigger picture in view - A drive for excellence and continual improvement in anything she does Her recent background is in organizational development, alternative learning experiences, and consciousness change work. She is a lifelong learner when it comes to decolonization, anti-racism, economic inequality, healing from trauma and oppression, community-building, facilitation, communication, relationships, mental health, and sustainability. She is available for part-time or contract opportunities that are remote or located in the DC metro area. She enjoys working with people and organizations that are committed to creativity, kindness, relationships, and a mindful engagement with power.
