Ollie Bream McIntosh is a researcher and designer specialising in digital, participatory, and cooperative approaches to sustainable fututes. He is currently focused on his role designing transdisciplinary action research projects on the theme of ‘societal transformation’ at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He holds two Masters degrees, one in Sustainable Territorial Development and another in Applied Economics, in addition to training in Complex Systems, Strategic Foresight, Facilitation, and Platform Design. Fluent in four languages, Ollie has worked across the Americas, Africa, and Europe, in a range of research, design, and management capacities, including two roles as Managing Director, firstly for an award-winning UK social enterprise offering alternative citizenship education to secondary schools, and secondly for Social Systems Lab, a design studio based in Cape Town and Stockholm building new digital infrastructures for social movements. Alongside an ad hoc consulting portfolio, with clients including activist networks and coalitions, Oliver is a Non-Executive Director of three UK-based NGOs, where he advises on strategy and project design.
